BIDV attends investment conferences in the UK and the Italian Republic
This is an annual investment promotion activity to attract foreign capital into Vietnam.
From September 15 to September 19, 2025, BIDV's working delegation led by General Director Le Ngoc Lam attended the working program within the framework of the Investment Conference chaired by Minister of Finance Nguyen Van Thang in the United Kingdom and the Republic of Italy.
This is an important activity that has been successfully organized for many years to expand opportunities to attract foreign investment capital into Vietnam.
The conference was attended by representatives of management agencies, embassies and nearly 300 delegates who are leaders of corporations, general companies, commercial banks, and leading investment funds in Vietnam, the UK and in the region.
At the Conference, the Minister and delegates from Vietnam provided specific information to the business community and investors in the UK and the European region about the development and potential of the Vietnamese economy. The Minister also emphasized the strong solutions that Vietnam is implementing to develop the economy and attract direct and indirect investment through the stock market.
During the working trip, the BIDV delegation had important multilateral and bilateral working sessions with major partners such as the London Stock Exchange, FTSE Russell, Morgan Stanley Investment Management and HSBC Bank.
Next, the delegation participated in the Vietnam - Italy Investment Connection Forum at the headquarters of the Lombardy regional government in Milan with the participation of many local investors. At this Forum, BIDV representative - Mr. Vuong Thanh Long, Deputy Head of Capital and Currency Trading Division, gave a speech sharing the bank's experience, position and cooperation capacity with international investors in three main areas of project finance, trade co-finance and other diverse investment services.
At the end of the Forum, the BIDV delegation worked with Cassa Depositi e Prestiti (CDP - Italian Deposit and Loan Fund) to share potential cooperation opportunities between the two sides in the field of project co-financing, loan guarantees, sustainable finance cooperation (ESG) and other financial services for CDP projects in Vietnam.
