Strategic partnership between BIDV and Wealth Management Institute to train and develop the professional Private Bankers to meet international standards
The Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV) has officially signed a strategic partnership with the Wealth Management Institute (WMI), a leading training provider for private banking and wealth management in Singapore and across the region, to develop the professional capabilities of their Private Bankers in the Vietnamese market.
As the domestic bank recognized by The Asian Banker for three consecutive years for providing the best Private Banking services, BIDV regards this strategic collaboration as a significant step in aligning its Private Banking services withinternational standards. Under this agreement, BIDV becomes the first bank in Vietnam, and one of the pioneers outside Singapore, to certify its private bankers under WMI’s Certified Private Banker Programmes.
This milestone demonstrates BIDV’s commitment to enhancing service quality in line with global Private Banking standards. WMI in partnership with BIDV has curated a training program based on Singapore’s competency framework for private banking and wealth management professionals, that enables BIDV staff to achieve a professional certification aligned with international standards. This initiative represents a key step in BIDV Private Banking’s development roadmap, aiming to become a leading financial institution in the Asia-Pacific region by 2030.
Courses will be conducted in the fourth quarter of 2025, featuring a structured, practice-oriented curriculum that enables BIDV Private Bankers to apply their learning directly in customer care, advisory services, and asset management. This will enable Vietnamese clients to experience world-class wealth management practices.
