Ha Tinh: Inauguration of 2 school projects worth over 10 billion VND sponsored by BIDV
On the morning of November 17, BIDV Ha Tinh handed over two school buildings in Ha Tinh, contributing to improving teaching and learning conditions for local students.
On the morning of November 17, the Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV) Ha Tinh branch coordinated with the People's Committees of Huong Do commune and Phuc Trach commune to organize the inauguration ceremony of two social security projects at Loc Yen Primary School and Phuc Trach High School.
Attending the event were representatives of the State Bank of Region 8, the Management Board of Investment Projects for Construction of Civil Works and Infrastructure of Ha Tinh Province; local government officers; teachers and students of the two schools. On the BIDV side, there were Mr. Nguyen Dinh Thinh - Director of BIDV Ha Tinh and staff.
Loc Yen Primary School is located in an area that is frequently flooded and lacks facilities. At the end of 2024, BIDV Ha Tinh sponsored 5 billion VND to build an administrative building and a system of subject classrooms. The project consists of a 3-storey building with 9 classrooms, which has been completed and put into use, creating favorable conditions for teaching and learning.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Thinh - Director of BIDV Ha Tinh emphasized: "BIDV always considers education as a priority area in social security activities. We expect that the new items will help teachers and students have better conditions to teach well and study well; thereby contributing to fostering quality human resources for the locality."
The school representative, Ms. Dang Thi Thin - Principal of Loc Yen Primary School expressed: "The new project not only helps solve the shortage of classrooms but also gives great motivation to teachers and students. The school sincerely thanks BIDV and all levels of the industry for their attention."
At Phuc Trach High School, BIDV Ha Tinh also sponsored 5.5 billion VND to build a multi-functional building with a total investment of more than 6 billion VND. The project includes a 1-storey building and auxiliary items, meeting the needs of physical training, concentrated living and organizing extracurricular activities for students.
Speaking at the handover ceremony, Mr. Phan Thanh Toan - Principal of Phuc Trach High School said: "The multi-functional building has been the school's long-standing desire. The completion of the project is an important milestone to help students study and practice in a more complete and modern environment."
In particular, the two projects were put into use on the occasion of the Vietnamese Teachers' Day on November 20, creating an exciting atmosphere and adding motivation for staff, teachers and students in the new school year.
BIDV Ha Tinh has identified education as a sustainable orientation. In the 2021-2025 period, the unit has spent more than 100 billion VND on social security activities, of which nearly 50 billion VND is dedicated to the education sector through building schools, equipment and scholarships for disadvantaged students.
