BIDV Trade Union successfully organized the 7th Congress of Delegates, term 2025 - 2030
Taking place over 2 days, December 5-6, 2025 in Hanoi, the 7th Congress of Trade Union of Vietnam Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Investment and Development was a great success.
With the participation of 258 delegates representing the will, intelligence and aspirations of more than 29,000 union members - workers from 229 grassroots unions in the entire system, it was a great success, opening a new development path with many expectations for the union organization at the largest commercial bank in Vietnam.
The congress was attended by comrade Huynh Thanh Xuan - Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, comrade Pham Tien Dung - Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, Deputy Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam, comrade Nguyen Khanh Chi - Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam Banking Trade Union. On December 5, 2025, BIDV Trade Union held a Conference to deploy the work of the Trade Union Congress; elect the Presidium, Secretariat, Delegate Qualification Examination Board, Ballot Counting Board; approve the program, working regulations, thoroughly grasp the election regulations; report the results of the verification of delegate qualifications, the results of the grassroots Trade Union Congress and the review report of the Executive Committee of BIDV Trade Union for the 2023 - 2028 term; report on the synthesis of comments on the documents of the 8th Congress of the Vietnam Bank Trade Union and the draft Charter of the Vietnam Trade Union; approve the Personnel Plan of the Executive Committee, the number and structure of the Executive Committee of BIDV Trade Union for the 7th term...

Speaking at the Congress, Comrade Pham Tien Dung - Member of the Party Standing Committee, Deputy Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam - highly appreciated the organization of the congress of BIDV Trade Union, from planning to implementing related tasks in an urgent, serious and methodical manner. Regarding the trade union activities in recent times, Comrade Pham Tien Dung praised BIDV Trade Union for successfully implementing many practical and effective emulation movements,... thereby contributing to the excellent completion of the bank's political and business tasks. Positive results in BIDV trade union activities in the period 2023 - 2025
The report on the implementation results of the Resolution of the Trade Union Congress for the 2023 - 2028 term has highlighted the outstanding marks, affirming the role of the trade union organization in the BIDV system. After more than 2 years of implementing the Resolution of the 6th Congress, BIDV Trade Union has comprehensively completed and surpassed 12/12 set targets, making an important contribution to the completion of political tasks, business plans and building a strong BIDV collective.
In performing the tasks of the trade union, BIDV Trade Union has promoted its role in caring for and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members and employees; closely coordinating with professional levels to ensure that employees fully exercise their contractual rights, enjoy insurance regimes, receive training and improve their qualifications, etc. In particular, the Trade Union has developed the Project "Building BIDV as a happy bank for employees", aiming for a professional, friendly working environment, taking people as the center to ensure the sustainable development of BIDV.
BIDV Trade Union also carries out many activities to take care of the material life of union members and employees such as: organizing "union meal" programs, vacation activities, birthday greetings, periodic health check-ups; promoting cultural, artistic and sports movements... Internal social security work is always of interest to BIDV Trade Union, regularly implemented through activities of visiting and supporting employees and their relatives, with a total implementation cost of more than 134 billion VND.
Regarding social security work, BIDV Trade Union continues to affirm its role as a responsible organization towards the community, aiming for sustainable development goals. During the last term, from the Trade Union Social Fund and the contributions of members and employees, BIDV Trade Union has spent more than 127 billion VND to implement many meaningful programs such as: building houses of gratitude, eliminating temporary houses - dilapidated houses; supporting schools, medical stations; building bridges; participating in programs to protect the homeland's sea and islands, accompanying women in border areas; planting trees; supporting localities to install solar-powered lampposts, equipping water tanks and overcoming the consequences of natural disasters...
In carrying out political tasks, BIDV's union has promoted the spirit of solidarity, creativity, and dedication, making an important contribution to BIDV's business results. BIDV's union has effectively implemented many practical emulation movements such as: "Excellent workers, striving to excellently complete political tasks and annual business plans", "Building and practicing a culture of Learning - Creativity", "Bank staff practice ethics and practice office culture", "Competing to increase green credit growth, digital transformation, and increase digital SME customers"... Thereby creating a driving force to improve productivity, quality, and labor efficiency, contributing significantly to the excellent completion of BIDV's strategic goals in the period 2023 - 2025.
By the end of November 2025: BIDV's total assets reached more than VND 3.2 million billion, continuing to maintain its position as the joint stock commercial bank with the largest total assets in Vietnam; BIDV has been making efforts to supply credit capital, meeting the needs of economic development according to the Government's policy, outstanding credit reached nearly VND 2.3 million billion, growing 13.7% compared to the beginning of the year, expected to grow 15-16% for the whole year; Capital mobilization reached over VND 2.3 million billion, growing 8.0% compared to the beginning of the year, expected to grow 12-13% for the whole year; Liquidity safety indicators are guaranteed according to the regulations of the State Bank; Pre-tax profit reached over VND 29,000 billion... BIDV is also the market leader in the green credit sector with outstanding loans reaching more than VND 81,200 billion. At the same time, it affirms its position as a bank with a market-leading customer base of more than 22 million individual customers, more than 500,000 corporate customers and more than 2,300 financial institutions globally...
Along with that, BIDV has achieved many breakthroughs in the process of comprehensive transformation in organizational model, resource management, retail and wholesale activities, green transformation, digital transformation and technology application; at the same time, focusing on fostering and developing corporate culture, creative learning culture, risk control culture...
With its outstanding efforts and results in the period of 2023 - 2025, BIDV Trade Union continues to be recognized and highly appreciated by the Party, the State and the superior trade union. In particular, in the recent period, BIDV Trade Union was honored to be awarded the Emulation Flag of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor (2023) and the Vietnam Banking Trade Union (2024), recognizing the achievement of "Excellent unit in the movement of workers, civil servants, laborers and trade union activities".
Continue efforts to build a strong, professional and creative BIDV Trade Union
Promoting the achievements in the past time, entering the 2025 - 2030 term, BIDV Trade Union sets the goal: "Building a strong, professional, creative trade union organization, effectively promoting the representative role, caring for and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members and employees; contributing to building a cohesive, humane and happy working environment". With the slogan of action "Solidarity - Democracy - Discipline - Innovation - Development" in the new term, the Congress identified 05 key tasks , including: (i) The Trade Union represents, cares for, and protects the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members and employees; (ii) Launching emulation movements associated with BIDV's development strategy for the period 2025 - 2030; (iii) Innovating the method of operation, promoting the role of the Trade Union in the digital transformation era; (iv) Building a strong and comprehensive BIDV Trade Union organization with effective and practical operations; (v) Strengthening political and ideological education for union members and employees, building a team of "4T" Trade Union cadres: "Intelligence - Responsibility - Dedication - Pioneer"...
The Congress also identified two breakthroughs , including : (i) Restructuring the Trade Union organization model towards streamlining, professionalism, and vertical connectivity, contributing to the goal of "Strong organization"; (ii) Digital transformation and innovation in trade union operation methods.
Based on the Congress Resolution, inheriting the glorious tradition and great achievements of previous terms, BIDV Trade Union is determined to create many new breakthroughs, continue to be a solid support, a happy home for workers; at the same time, a strong internal driving force, contributing to the goal of building BIDV into a leading Big - Strong - Green bank in Asia, joining the whole country in entering an era of rich, prosperous, civilized and prosperous development.
To lead BIDV Trade Union to achieve the expected goals, the Congress unanimously elected the BIDV Trade Union Executive Committee for the 2025 - 2030 term, consisting of 21 comrades. The Congress also elected the Delegation to attend the 8th Congress of Vietnam Banking Trade Union, including 45 official delegates and 5 alternate delegates.
