BIC holds launch event for new brand identity

On January 15, 2026, at the Sheraton Hotel (Hanoi), BIDV Insurance Corporation (BIC) held a ceremony to launch its new brand identity.

The event marked an important milestone in BIC's 20-year journey of formation, development, and integration into Vietnam's non-life insurance market.

Attending the ceremony on behalf of BIDV were Mr. Phan Duc Tu - Party Secretary, Chairman of the Board of Directors of BIDV, Mr. Le Ngoc Lam - Deputy Party Secretary, Member of the Board of Directors, General Director of BIDV, along with members of the Board of Directors, General Directorate, Heads/Deputy Heads of Divisions, Chief Accountant, Head of the Supervisory Board, Chief Economist, leaders of departments/centers at BIDV headquarters, Standing Vice President of BIDV Trade Union, leaders of BIDV branches in Hanoi, and directors of member units in the BIDV system. On behalf of strategic shareholder FairFax, Mr. Gobinath Arvind Athappan, Chairman of FairFax Asia and Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of BIC, was present. On the BIC side were Mr. Tran Hoai An, Party Secretary and Chairman of the Board of Directors of BIC; Ms. Doan Thi Thu Huyen, Deputy Party Secretary, Member of the Board of Directors, and General Director of BIC; along with members of the Board of Directors, the General Directorate, the Head of the Audit Committee, the Chief Accountant, the General Director of LVI, CVI, Directors of Departments at the Head Office, and Directors of BIC's member units nationwide.

Speaking at the ceremony, Ms. Doan Thi Thu Huyen - General Director of BIC said that after two decades of operation, BIC has achieved remarkable growth in many aspects. Charter capital has increased 20 times, total assets have increased more than 80 times, equity capital has increased 44 times, and the business reserve fund has increased more than 100 times compared to the time of establishment. Insurance premium revenue has increased nearly 100 times, helping BIC maintain its position in the Top 5 non-life insurance companies leading the market share. Pre-tax profit has grown steadily, placing BIC among the Top 3 non-life insurance companies with the highest profitability in the market. BIC has also expanded its network to 38 member units and more than 230 business offices nationwide, while operating effectively in Laos and Cambodia. BIC is currently rated by AM Best at aaa.VN, the highest rating in Vietnam.

Representing the parent bank, Mr. Le Ngoc Lam, General Director of BIDV, acknowledged BIC's significant contributions to BIDV's financial-banking-insurance ecosystem. BIC has delivered stable financial performance, maintained high dividend payouts for many years, thereby creating significant value for BIDV as its largest shareholder. In addition, the Bancassurance activities implemented by BIC have become one of the important components in BIDV's service revenue structure, contributing positively to diversifying revenue sources and enhancing the bank's competitiveness. BIC's insurance products also play an essential role in BIDV's risk management, particularly in protecting loans, collateral assets, and operations. Furthermore, BIC's achievements in digital transformation, corporate governance, and regional integration have contributed to enhancing BIDV's reputation and image in the financial market. With a vision towards 2030, BIDV's Board of Directors expects BIC to continue to play an important role as a pillar in the BIDV ecosystem, expand its scale, enhance its competitiveness, and aim to be among the top three non-life insurance companies in terms of market share.

The new identity is built on a spirit of innovation, aspiration to excel, and a commitment to delivering greater value to customers, partners, and shareholders. The brand change is not just a change in image but also a comprehensive transformation in mindset, customer approach, and operating methods, aiming for sustainable development and deeper integration. In the coming period, BIC plans to continue innovating its products, strengthening the application of technology, improving service quality, expanding its operations in the regional market, and developing a high-quality workforce. These are the factors that are expected to help BIC consolidate its position in the non-life insurance market and contribute more positively to the BIDV ecosystem.

The launch ceremony of the new brand identity marks the beginning of the next phase of BIC's development with a clear direction, consistent strategy, and strong support from BIDV and Fairfax. Building on the foundation established over the past 20 years, BIC aims to continue to break through, enhance its competitiveness, and affirm its position as one of the leading non-life insurance companies in Vietnam.

BIC's new brand identity is built on the iBIC value system, comprising Innovation, Beyond, Insightful Caring, and Certainty. These four values are considered BIC's "brand DNA" in its new development phase, serving as the foundation for all activities and a guiding principle for strategic thinking and innovation in the digital era.
In line with the principle of "Heaven is round, Earth is square," BIC's new logo was developed from the values of its parent bank, BIDV, through the image of a golden plum blossom circle and a stylized square block simulating four closed protective arms – symbolizing peace of mind, connection, and BIC's 20-year brand history. These elements are designed in a minimalist, modern style, enhancing applicability on digital platforms and aligning with international design trends.
The new identity system will be rolled out across the entire BIC system starting January 1, 2026.
