What is Smart OTP?

Smart OTP is a secure transaction authentication method integrated directly into the BIDV SmartBanking app. Instead of receiving an OTP code via SMS, you will receive the OTP directly within the app, making transactions faster and more secure.

1. Instructions for setting up Smart OTP on BIDV SmartBanking

Step 1: Log in to the app

Open the BIDV SmartBanking app on your phone, enter your username and password to log in.

Step 2: Select the "Settings" function

• On the main screen, select the "Settings" function → "Smart OTP Settings"
• Tap the "Activate Smart OTP" button

Step 3: Create a Smart OTP PIN

• Enter a 6-digit PIN specifically for Smart OTP.
• Confirm the PIN to complete.

2. Instructions for resetting if you forget your Smart OTP PIN

If you forget your Smart OTP PIN, you can reset it on BIDV SmartBanking as follows:

1. On the main screen, select the "Settings" function → "Smart OTP Settings"
2. Select "Forgot Smart OTP PIN."
3. Scan your face to verify.
4. Create a new OTP PIN and confirm it.

Notes on using Smart OTP

• The Smart OTP PIN is different from the app login password.
• Never share your Smart OTP PIN with anyone.
• When changing your phone or reinstalling the app, you need to reactivate Smart OTP.
