Today's Stock Market 5/2: Market trades within a narrow range
The recovery of Vingroup stocks helped the overall market rebound and test the 1,800-point mark. However, as soon as it reached this price level, increased selling pressure quickly caused the overall index to reverse.
BASIC MARKET
The VN-Index traded within a narrow range, closing at 1,782.56 points, down 8.87 points from the previous session's close.
Market breadth leaned negative, with 15 out of 18 sectors declining. Among them, the Chemicals and Information Technology sectors contributed the most to the decline. On the other hand, the Real Estate sector, led by Vin Group stocks, drove the market higher.
Regarding foreign trading, foreign investors were net sellers on the HSX and UPCOM exchanges, while net buyers on the HNX. The index was compressed within a narrow range, with investors cautious in their trading.
FUTURES
CONTRACTS All futures contracts declined in line with the VN30's adjustment.

In the trading session on February 5, 2026, warrants fluctuated in a tug-of-war trend.
