BIDV Kien Giang conducts live-action drill against bank robbery crimes
On February 8, 2026, BIDV Kien Giang collaborated with the Criminal Police Department (PC02) of the Kien Giang Provincial Police to conduct a drill on measures to prevent and combat property robbery crimes.
The drill was held at the Phu Cuong Branch Office with the serious participation of the police force and the unit's staff. Aiming to improve the ability to respond to unexpected situations, the drill was based on a scenario reflecting real life.
Speaking at the drill, Mr. Pham An, Deputy Director of BIDV Kien Giang Branch, affirmed that this was a practical activity to train the vigilance and practical skills of each individual in the system. By directly observing and participating in handling situations, staff and employees can gain valuable experience to be more proactive in ensuring security. He emphasized that the unit's highest goal is not only to protect assets but, more importantly, to ensure the safety of customers and colleagues, while requiring the entire branch to strictly adhere to security regulations and never be complacent.
The simulated situation began when two individuals posing as customers came to conduct transactions at the headquarters located at Lot P13, Units 20-21, Phan Thi Rang, Rach Gia City. Taking advantage of a moment of inattention, the individuals suddenly pulled out weapons to threaten and intimidate staff and customers present at the scene in order to steal property.
Immediately after the situation erupted, the transaction room's emergency alarm system was temporarily activated. In a tense atmosphere, the staff of BIDV Phu Cuong remained steadfast and seriously implemented the response procedures they had been trained in. The tellers and security guards coordinated smoothly to ensure the absolute safety of customers, while skillfully collecting special identification information about the suspects. Thanks to accurate and timely information support from the bank, the Criminal Police force quickly deployed, successfully subdued the suspects, and protected the unit's assets.
The resounding success of the drill is proof of BIDV Kien Giang's thorough preparation and sense of responsibility in dealing with violent crimes. This activity not only helped strengthen the cooperative relationship between the bank and local police agencies, but also made an important contribution to maintaining security and order in the area, reinforcing the confidence of customers when conducting transactions at the BIDV system.
