Notice of discontinuation of BIDV SmartBanking service on devices showing signs of risk

Dear Customers,

In order to enhance the security of online banking transactions and limit the risk of attacks, unauthorized interference, and asset theft via mobile devices, starting March 1, 2026, BIDV will discontinue the BIDV SmartBanking service on mobile devices that do not meet the security requirements specified in Circular 77/2025/TT-NHNN.

These are mobile devices that have had their security unlocked, such as root (Android), jailbreak (iOS) or bootloader unlock, or have had illegal code inserted during operation or use, posing a potential security risk to users, which could lead to fraud, money laundering, loss of assets, etc.

To avoid transaction interruptions, customers are advised to proactively check their device status, remove root, jailbreak, or unlock bootloader modes, or switch to using the BIDV SmartBanking app on secure devices.
