Banking sector delegation visits Tan Trao and launches 2026 Tree Planting Festival
On the morning of February 28, the State Bank of Vietnam delegation visited the Tan Trao National Special Historic Site to pay their respects and organized the "Forever Grateful to Uncle Ho" Tree Planting Festival at the Banking Industry Historic Site.

Attending the program were Mr. Nguyen Van Binh, former member of the Politburo, former Secretary of the Party Central Committee, former Head of the Central Economic Commission, former Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam; and Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong, member of the Party Central Committee Executive Committee, Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam. Welcoming and joining the delegation were Comrade Le Thi Kim Dung, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Comrade Nguyen Manh Tuan, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.
At the Tan Trao Special National Relic Site, the Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam and the delegation offered incense and flowers at the Ho Chi Minh Monument, Tan Trao Communal House, and the Memorial to Revolutionary Forefathers. Before the spirits of Ho Chi Minh and the revolutionary forefathers, the officials and employees of the banking sector vowed to remain steadfast in their belief in the Party's leadership, continue to promote traditions, strive relentlessly, unite in solidarity, and be determined to successfully achieve the goals and tasks for 2026; build a sustainable banking sector, and contribute to the nation's successful implementation of the resolutions of the Party's 14th National Congress.

The delegation offered flowers and launched the "Forever Grateful to Uncle Ho" tree planting festival; launched the emulation movement "Banking sector officials, union members, and employees are determined to successfully implement the Resolution of the 14th National Party Congress and the political tasks of the banking sector in 2026" at the Banking Sector Historical Site, Minh Thanh Commune, Son Duong District.

Here, from April 1952 to October 1954, the State Bank of Vietnam had its headquarters in Cay Village, Minh Khai Commune (now Tan Thanh Hamlet, Minh Thanh Commune, Son Duong District, Tuyen Quang Province). This place marks an important milestone when the State Bank of Vietnam first organized the issuance of banknotes, redeemed financial notes, contributed to strengthening and stabilizing the country's independent and autonomous monetary system; developed bank credit, effectively served production and people's lives, and made an important contribution to the victory of the resistance and nation-building cause.

In 2026, the entire banking sector will strive to successfully complete the tasks for 2026, proactively and flexibly manage monetary policy, contributing to macroeconomic stability; promote digital transformation, administrative reform, and improve the quality of services for people and businesses; Strengthen discipline and order, build a professional, responsible, and creative team of officials in the State Bank of Vietnam; Join forces and work together to successfully implement the Resolution of the 14th Party Congress and the political tasks of the banking industry in 2026.
