The BIDV Party Committee has for the first time won the Outstanding Work Award at the 2025 Central Golden Sickle and Hammer Awards
On February 3, 2026, at the National Journalism Awards Ceremony on Party Building – Golden Sickle and Hammer Awards 2025, the Party Committee of the Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam had a work honored in the category of Outstanding Work on Innovation and Development of Science and Technology, Digital Transformation.
Attending the award ceremony on behalf of BIDV were Mr. Tran Xuan Hoang, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Member of the Board of Directors; representatives of the Party Committee's Propaganda Department; and the author of the award-winning work.
The winning work was a three-part series entitled "Major Resolutions - Strong Actions: Vietnam Creates New Momentum" by author Vo Thi Kim Sa (Propaganda Department of the BIDV Party Committee).
The National Journalism Award on Party Building – Golden Sickle and Hammer Award is organized by the Central Organizing Committee in collaboration with Nhan Dan Newspaper, Communist Magazine, Vietnam Television, and the Vietnam Journalists Association to honor outstanding journalistic works on Party building, political system development, and protection of the Party's ideological foundation. In 2025, the Award attracted 2,296 entries from media agencies and Party organizations nationwide. Through rigorous and objective selection rounds, the Organizing Committee selected 82 outstanding works to receive awards.
The series "Major Resolutions - Strong Actions: Vietnam Creates New Momentum" consists of three parts: Part 1: "Four Pillars of the System: Strategic Vision in Times of Change"; Part 2: "Aspirations Turned into Actions - United in Building the Future"; Part 3: "BIDV Party Committee: Creative Actions, Driving Development".
The work focuses on an in-depth analysis of four important resolutions issued by the Politburo during the 2024–2025 period (Resolutions No. 57-NQ/TW, 59-NQ/TW, 66-NQ/TW, and 68-NQ/TW), considered the "four pillars" of the regime, laying the foundation for rapid and sustainable development in a complex and volatile global context. Based on theory and practice, the series of articles clarifies the Party's strategic vision and political determination in promoting major pillars such as science and technology, digital transformation, international integration, and improving the legal system; while affirming the role of these decisions in strengthening internal forces, enhancing national competitiveness, and realizing the aspiration to develop the country by 2045.
The highlight of the work is the linking of the Central Committee's resolutions with the practical implementation at the BIDV Party Committee, thereby affirming the pioneering role of the Party organization in state-owned enterprises in translating the Party's major policies into practical and effective actions. The work demonstrates the leadership capacity, resolution implementation capabilities, and innovative spirit of the BIDV Party Committee in the context of digital transformation and deep integration.
Responding to an interview at the award ceremony, Comrade Tran Xuan Hoang, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Member of the BIDV Board of Directors, shared: "Being honored at the national Golden Sickle and Hammer Award is a great source of pride and honor. This achievement is not accidental but the result of a long process of persistence and relentless effort." The number and quality of entries have grown steadily each year (in 2025 alone, the competition within the entire Party Committee attracted 633 entries from more than 150 affiliated Party organizations), reflecting the joint efforts of the entire system. This award is not only a personal honor but also clear evidence of substantive and effective Party building.
Comrade Tran Xuan Hoang emphasized that at BIDV, Party building is not just a formal task but a core factor driving business development goals. Party building at BIDV has always been a priority, serving as the "main driving force" for achieving important goals. The BIDV Party Committee implements detailed plans, clearly assigns tasks to grassroots party organizations, and does not allow any unit to operate independently. Furthermore, BIDV continuously organizes writing skills training courses, inviting experts from within and outside the industry to guide participants on how to identify and select topics and build the structure of their articles.
The award won by author Vo Thi Kim Sa is a clear testament to the transformation in the organization and response to the Party's political essay contests by the BIDV Party Committee. This has contributed to strengthening the role of the Party in state-owned enterprises. Winning the Excellent Work Award at the 2025 National Golden Sickle and Hammer Awards is an important step forward, reflecting the effectiveness of propaganda and political education at BIDV. This award will be a catalyst for BIDV to further spread the movement of writing about Party building throughout the system; continue to strengthen training, assign in-depth topics, and organize political essay contests on a more systematic scale. The ultimate goal is to turn each article into an initiative and each resolution into a practical action for the sustainable development of the bank.
