BIDV Vinh Long: A Visit to the Memorial Site of Professor Tran Dai Nghia
On March 21, 2026, BIDV Vinh Long organized a heritage tour to the Memorial Site of Professor, Academician, Brigadier General, and Labor Hero Tran Dai Nghia.
This meaningful activity aimed to educate staff and youth members on revolutionary traditions and foster national pride.
Spanning an area of approximately 16,000 square meters, the Professor Tran Dai Nghia Memorial Site is designed in an open-space style, combining a welcoming and airy atmosphere with a sense of solemnity. The complex includes several key components such as a memorial hall, an exhibition hall, a conference room, and a plaza. It currently houses over 868 valuable documents and artifacts that vividly depict the life and illustrious career of Vietnam’s “Weapons King.”
During the visit, the BIDV Vinh Long youth delegation paid their respects with incense and took time to deeply explore the life and contributions of Professor Tran Dai Nghia. Through documentary footage and moving narration, the delegation members were deeply moved by his spirit of overcoming adversity, his dedication to learning, and his extraordinary creativity. Artifacts such as books, research materials on weapons, and various types of firearms and ammunition—all crafted by him and his colleagues during the fierce years of the resistance war—serve as clear evidence of a master’s intellect fully dedicated to the nation.
Professor and Academician Tran Dai Nghia was not only a true scientist but also a talented general and a model of moral integrity. This visit to his roots is not merely a tour but a profound practical lesson in the moral principle of “remembering one’s origins.” Through this, the activity helps nurture ideals, ignite the desire to contribute, and foster a spirit of creativity among the younger generation in today’s efforts to build and defend the nation.
