Macroeconomic News

  • U.S.-Iran negotiations show limited progress ahead of the deadline set by U.S. President Donald Trump. On the U.S. side, President Trump continues to issue threats, while Iran has stated it will retaliate if the U.S. attacks.
  • Vietnam: On April 7, 2026, General Secretary To Lam was elected President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam for the 2026–2031 term.
  • Vietnam: On April 7, 2026, Mr. Le Minh Hung was elected Prime Minister for the 2026–2031 term.
  • Vietnam: Early on April 8, 2026, FTSE Russell officially confirmed the roadmap for upgrading Vietnam’s stock market. Vietnam will be included in the FTSE GEIS Index and related indices through a four-phase implementation process, beginning in September 2026 and concluding in September 2027. This phased approach is designed to ensure a smooth market transition, manage expected capital flows, and support NPF funding as well as sufficient liquidity throughout the inclusion process.
  • Vietnam: The Minister of Finance issued Circular No. 40/2026/TT-BTC stipulating the exemption of certain fees and charges to support production and business operations in the transportation sector.
  • Vietnam: The Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam has issued Circular No. 02/2026/TT-NHNN amending and supplementing certain provisions of Circular No. 35/2025/TT-NHNN regarding special loans for credit institutions.


Market News

  • DXG: Dat Xanh plans to change the company’s name.
