Today’s Stock Market, April 16: Vin Group Stocks Continue to Drive the Market Higher
Today’s stock market saw another session of “green on the outside, red on the inside.”
BASIC MARKET The
Vin Group of stocks continued to lead the market’s upward momentum in today’s session. The VN-Index closed at 1,819.83 points, up nearly 20 points from yesterday.
Market breadth leaned toward the negative side, with 13 out of 18 sectors declining, among which the Industrial Goods & Services and Financial Services sectors fell the most. On the other hand, the Real Estate sector continued to rise by over 5%.
Regarding foreign investor activity, foreign investors continued to net buy on the HSX and net sell on the other two exchanges today.
The upward momentum, driven by a handful of stocks, is unlikely to be sustainable in the long term; therefore, investors should exercise caution when trading during this period.

CONTRACTS All futures contracts rose in tandem with the VN30 index.

In the trading session on April 16, 2026, most warrants declined.
