Participating in the “75 Years of the State Bank of Vietnam” Run
To commemorate the 75th anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnam Banking System (May 6, 1951 – May 6, 2026), the State Bank of Vietnam is organizing the “75 Years of the Vietnam Banking System” Online Running Event
Participants in the race are employees of the Vietnamese banking sector
Eligible participants include staff members, union members, and workers currently employed in the banking sector, including units under the State Bank of Vietnam, enterprises and financial institutions supervised by the State Bank of Vietnam, Cooperative Banks, the Social Policy Bank, and commercial banks.
The race is organized online using modern technology, allowing every staff member and employee across the sector to actively participate from anywhere. Participants register for the race on the technology platform at https://giaichaynhvn.vrun.vn/. When walking or running, they use the Strava app to record the results of each activity. The system will automatically synchronize individual and organizational results in real time to the race’s leaderboard. By using the Strava platform to record results, every step taken by participating athletes is transparently and accurately tracked and widely shared.
Race Schedule
Registration for the race opens at 00:01:00 on April 28, 2026, and will close automatically once 51,000 athletes have registered. The performance tracking period lasts for 26 days, from 00:01:00 on May 3, 2026, to 23:59:00 on May 28, 2026.
The race is not merely a simple sports event, but also serves to promote the spirit of perseverance, resilience, and relentless effort within the banking sector throughout its 75-year journey of construction and development. At the same time, the race demonstrates the unity and solidarity of all officials, civil servants, public employees, and workers across the entire sector. Although each participant runs on different routes, they all share a common goal, contributing to collective strength and spreading the spirit of unity.
Achievements Converted into Social Welfare Contributions
Notably, the running achievements of the athletes will be converted into funds (up to 7.5 billion VND) to support social welfare activities, The race affirms and connects the significance of physical fitness with social responsibility, clearly demonstrating the role and tradition of mutual support within the banking sector—which has always been a pioneer and proactive participant in numerous social welfare activities, leading the way in providing support to remote and underserved areas, vulnerable groups, and those in difficult circumstances, bringing tangible benefits to the people and providing active support for poverty alleviation efforts.
