The U.S. dollar traded more steadily, while investors focused on this week’s CPI report and FOMC meeting minutes.
  • Japan, May 2026: Wages fell short of expectations but growth remained solid, and household spending exceeded forecasts.
  • Vietnam: The government has finalized the structure of the Executive Council for the International Financial Center in Vietnam, aiming to build a modern, transparent, and internationally integrated financial center, aligned with the leading roles of Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang.
  • Vietnam: Deputy Prime Minister Ho Quoc Dung has instructed ministries, sectors, and localities to remove bottlenecks and commit to fully disbursing 100% of the central government budget allocated to the three national target programs in 2026, while also promptly implementing a set of KPIs to measure implementation progress.

By the end of June 2026, the market capitalization of stocks on the three exchanges reached over 10.57 million billion VND, up 6% from the end of 2025, equivalent to 82.3% of the estimated 2025 GDP.

  • Vietnam Stock Market: Recovery momentum stalls; the VN-Index trades in a tight range ahead of the second-quarter earnings season.
  • DMX: Recently released its six-month business report, showing revenue of nearly 65.3 thousand billion VND, up 31% year-over-year, and having achieved 53% of this year’s annual target.
  • YEG: Has just approved a resolution to implement a plan to offer 25 million shares in a private placement to professional securities investors to raise 250 billion VND.
  • LHC: announced the successful issuance of 14.4 million shares to increase equity capital from retained earnings, thereby raising its authorized capital to 288 billion VND.
