BIDV Promotes International Cooperation on Green Finance and Sustainable Development
Through a series of meetings with leading European financial institutions, BIDV continues to strengthen its pioneering position in the field of green finance.
From June 24, 2026, to July 1, 2026, a BIDV delegation joined a high-level delegation from the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV), led by Deputy Governor Nguyen Ngoc Canh, on a working visit to the Federal Republic of Germany.
The BIDV delegation, led by Pham Thi Ngoc Anh, Standing Member of the Strategy and Organization Committee, participated in the exchange of experiences and the promotion of international cooperation on sustainable finance, as well as access to green financial resources, within the framework of the cooperation program with the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ).
BIDV engaged in discussions with many reputable organizations
The delegation actively engaged with financial institutions and major organizations such as the European Central Bank (ECB); the German Central Bank (Deutsche Bundesbank); the International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB); the German Savings Banks Association (DSGV); and Deutsche Bank
Through these meetings, the delegation gained insights into the latest trends in green finance, climate finance, climate risk management, green credit, green bonds, and sustainability disclosure standards under IFRS S1, IFRS S2, and TCFD. The counterparts
This was also an opportunity for BIDV to exchange views with leading organizations on integrating ESG and climate risk management into banking operations, developing the green finance market, as well as proposing enhanced training and human resource development to support the banking sector’s green transition.
Through this program, BIDV continues to affirm its pioneering role in the field of green finance and sustainable development in Vietnam, while expanding strategic partnerships with international organizations to help advance the country’s green transition.
