BIDV Joins Forces with the Banking Sector to Donate Social Welfare Funds in Quang Tri, Ha Tinh, and Nghe An
Recently, a working delegation from the State Bank of Vietnam, led by Comrade Pham Duc An—Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee, and Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam—visited and presented 30 billion VND in social welfare funds to the provinces of Quang Tri, Ha Tinh, and Nghe An. Of this amount, BIDV contributed more than 7.1 billion VND.
The program is a meaningful initiative by the banking sector to mark the 79th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs’ Day, aimed at expressing gratitude to those who have contributed to the nation while supporting local authorities in improving the living conditions of policy beneficiaries and residents facing difficult circumstances.

Speaking at the donation ceremonies, SBV Governor Pham Duc An emphasized: “The donation of social welfare funds is a humanitarian gesture by all officials, civil servants, and staff in the banking sector.” This annual initiative aims to uphold the principles of “repaying kindness” and “remembering one’s roots,” and to carry on the banking sector’s fine traditions. The Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam expressed his hope that these resources will help the provinces of Quang Tri, Ha Tinh, and Nghe An provide even better care for families eligible for preferential policies and effectively implement social welfare programs within their jurisdictions.

At the handover ceremonies, representatives of the provincial leadership in Quang Tri, Ha Tinh, and Nghe An all expressed their deep appreciation for the banking sector’s goodwill, concern, and support for these localities in their socio-economic development and social welfare efforts; while also committing to using the donated funds appropriately, effectively, and practically, thereby helping to spread the profound humanitarian significance of the program.
