Through the integration of NAPAS’s payment infrastructure, Weixin Pay, and BIDV’s payment system, Chinese tourists can use the Weixin Pay app to scan VietQRGlobal codes and make payments at acceptance points throughout Vietnam, including retail stores, hotels, restaurants, lodging facilities, and tourist attractions. Transactions are processed directly between the Chinese yuan (CNY) and the Vietnamese dong (VND), providing a convenient, secure, and transparent payment experience.

Expanding Connectivity for Vietnamese Businesses and Merchants

The launch of this service not only adds a modern payment method but also expands the connectivity of Vietnamese businesses and small businesses to over 1 billion Weixin users. This serves as a crucial foundation for boosting consumption, developing tourism, and enhancing the competitiveness of businesses and small enterprises in the context of a growing digital economy and deepening international integration.
