Connecting the Financial-Energy Ecosystem with the Petrolimex-BIDV-Visa Co-branded Card

The event marks a new milestone in the partnership between two leading Vietnamese brands in the financial-banking and energy sectors, while also concretizing the integration of BIDV’s financial ecosystem with Petrolimex’s energy and service ecosystem. The launch of the card series offers financial benefits tailored to customers’ essential consumption needs, helping to promote cashless payments and enhance the digital experience.

The Petrolimex–BIDV–Visa co-branded card series includes debit and credit card lines for individual and business customers, designed to meet the diverse payment, financial management, and spending optimization needs of each customer segment. Cardholders of the co-branded cards enjoy benefits from BIDV, Visa, and the Petrolimex ecosystem simultaneously. Credit cardholders are eligible for an interest-free period of up to 45 days when they pay off their balance in full by the due date.

For individual customers, the card suite targets those who frequently use personal vehicles, have regular fuel purchases, shop online, and make cashless payments—including ride-hailing drivers and customers seeking to maximize benefits from their daily spending.

Individual cardholders earn 1% of the transaction value in points when purchasing gasoline at Petrolimex and 2% on online shopping transactions made with the credit card, with a total point value of up to 250,000 Petrolimex ID per month (equivalent to 250,000 VND per month). Customers who apply for the card are exempt from the first-year annual fee and the physical card issuance fee, subject to program terms and conditions. All reward points are recorded on the Petrolimex ID (PLX ID) system, allowing customers to conveniently accumulate and use them within the Petrolimex ecosystem and with affiliated partners.

For business customers, the card suite offers a solution to help manage fuel and operational costs, making it suitable for companies in the transportation, logistics, construction, manufacturing, and service sectors, as well as organizations that own fleets. With centralized payment features, spending limit management by vehicle or driver, real-time tracking of fuel purchases, payment of outstanding balances, and the ability to view and store electronic invoices, the card package helps improve the efficiency of cost and cash flow management.

In addition to these management features, corporate credit cardholders earn 1.5% in reward points when purchasing fuel at Petrolimex and 2% on spending at restaurants and hotels using the credit card. Customers are exempt from the annual fee for the first year; the annual fee is waived for subsequent years if transaction volume reaches 50 million VND or more per year. In particular, Petrolimex offers an additional benefit of waiving the annual fee for the second and third years for corporate cardholders with transaction volumes of just 5 million VND per year. For customers using corporate debit cards, the physical card issuance fee is waived, and the annual fee is waived for life under the current preferential policy.

The combination of BIDV’s financial and banking capabilities with Petrolimex’s energy and retail ecosystem is expected to deliver a seamless payment experience, add value to every transaction, and unlock additional benefits for customers.
