On August 25, 2026, at the International Conference Center (Hanoi), BIDV and VINASME officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on “Connecting Financial Services and Promoting Credit Access for SMEs on the VINASME Digital Platform.”

The event took place as part of the celebration marking the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnam Association of Small and Medium Enterprises (VINASME) and its receipt of the First-Class Labor Medal. The event was attended and presided over by Prime Minister Le Minh Hung, along with leaders from ministries, agencies, local authorities, domestic and international associations, financial institutions, and the business community, with a total of 500 delegates in attendance. Mr. Tran Long, Deputy General Director of BIDV, and Mr. To Hoai Nam, Executive Vice Chairman and Secretary General of VINASME, represented their respective organizations in signing the Memorandum of Understanding.

Under the MOU, BIDV and VINASME will integrate their systems and establish technical connections to enable SME enterprises to apply for loans online and conduct secure electronic transactions directly on the VINASME digital platform. BIDV will design preferential credit solution packages (loans, bank guarantees, credit cards) for member businesses on this platform.

By sharing and verifying digital eligibility data from the platform, BIDV will significantly reduce the time required to collect documentation and improve the quality of initial credit assessments, while also promoting account openings and providing convenient, transparent cashless payment services.

This partnership further reaffirms BIDV’s role as the nation’s leading commercial bank, taking the lead in implementing the Government’s Resolution 68-NQ/TW on supporting the small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) community. The combination of BIDV’s financial capabilities and digital technology infrastructure with VINASME’s ecosystem of over 62,000 members is expected to drive breakthroughs in credit provision and comprehensive digital transformation for businesses, opening up opportunities for efficient access to capital at the most optimal cost.
