BIDV Allocates VND 20 Billion to Support Recovery Efforts After Storm No. 3
Sharing the difficulties with people in flood-affected areas, by September 13, 2024, the Vietnam Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Investment and Development (BIDV) system had spent VND 20 billion to relieve the impacts of natural disasters.
In parallel with joining hands with the entire banking industry to support the Fund for Natural Disaster Prevention and Overcoming in response to the call of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front on September 10, right from the time when storm No. 3 was about to make landfall in Vietnam, BIDV promptly directed branches in areas at risk of storms and floods to stay close to the locality, make efforts to overcome difficulties, and implement the four-on-the-spot motto: on-site command; on-site forces; on-site means and materials; on-site logistics, ensuring smooth operations, serving the transaction needs of businesses and people. BIDV branches in the area also quickly organized many relief teams to areas that were isolated and separated by floods to provide emergency support right at the most difficult times for people.

Mr. Tran Xuan Hoang - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Member of the Board of Directors of BIDV - representative of the bank presented support funds at the Headquarters of Quang Ninh Provincial Police
