This marks the 12th consecutive year that BIDV has been included in this prestigious ranking. BIDV ranks third among Vietnamese companies and second in the banking sector. This year, nine Vietnamese companies were honored by Forbes, including eight banks. This result reflects the strong development of Vietnam’s banking system, which has made positive contributions to economic growth, promoted international integration, and enhanced the standing of Vietnamese businesses on the global stage.

After 12 years, BIDV has climbed 964 spots on the Global 2000 list

Within Vietnam’s banking sector, BIDV leads in terms of revenue and total assets. According to Forbes’ assessment, BIDV has shown strong growth across all metrics: revenue reached 7.64 billion USD, profit reached 1.18 billion USD, total assets reached 128.6 billion USD, and market capitalization reached 11.86 billion USD. Maintaining its position on the Global 2000 list for 12 consecutive years, along with its improved ranking, has affirmed BIDV’s standing, reputation, and capacity for sustainable development in both the domestic and international financial markets. Since first appearing on the list in 2015, BIDV has made an impressive leap, climbing 964 spots (from 1,913th to 967th).

The Global 2000 is one of the most prestigious and comprehensive rankings of the world’s largest and most powerful companies. Forbes analyzes, evaluates, and publishes the Global 2000 list based on four criteria: revenue, profit, total assets, and market capitalization. The data used by Forbes for the ranking consists of business results from the 12 months ending May 15, 2026.

This marks the 24th year that Forbes has released the Global 2000 ranking. According to Forbes, the companies featured in the 2026 list have total revenue of 56 trillion USD, profits of 5.5 trillion USD, total assets of 272.2 trillion USD, and a market capitalization of 121.9 trillion USD. Forbes notes that banks continue to be the group of companies holding the world’s largest assets, while energy companies generate strong cash flow and retail businesses lead in revenue.

BIDV consistently ranks among prestigious lists

Not only recognized by Forbes, BIDV has also consistently received high praise from reputable organizations. Recently, Fortune magazine (U.S.) once again ranked BIDV among the Top 500 largest companies in Southeast Asia, placing 42nd in the region and topping the Vietnamese banking sector. BIDV is also among the Top 200 most valuable global banking brands, according to Brand Finance—the world’s leading brand valuation and consulting firm.

This consistent recognition by reputable international organizations is a testament to BIDV’s strong financial capacity, operational efficiency, brand reputation, and its increasingly solidified position in the region and worldwide. This is also the result of BIDV’s effective, safe, sustainable, and deeply integrated development strategy, with a vision to become a “Large – Strong – Green” financial and banking group in Southeast Asia, striving to rank among the Top 100 strongest banks in Asia by 2030 and among the Top 50 by 2045.
