BIDV accompanies the National Data Center
On July 1, 2025, in Hanoi, the National Data Center (NDC) - Ministry of Public Security held a launching ceremony for the implementation of the Data Law and detailed regulations and implementation instructions with the participation of relevant professional units, state agencies and a number of enterprises and financial institutions.
During the program, representatives of the National Data Center announced legal documents effective from July 1, 2025 and data products and services, utilities such as: data management and monitoring systems, data floor platforms, etc. Along with the birth of the Data Law, the National Data Development Fund was also established.
Promoting the role of a leading financial institution in the country with strong technological and digital transformation capabilities, BIDV will coordinate to implement 4 major cooperation activities with the National Data Center, including: (i) Participating in giving opinions on the development of legal documents; (ii) Designing and implementing financial solutions, in which the two sides have been implementing BIDV iConnect service, E-Merchant payment gateway,...; (iii) Cooperating in the field of data mining development with work contents under the implementation plan of the Data Law in particular and Project 175 in general such as: National Data Platform; Operation of Data Service Portal; Open data warehouse and open data portal; Centralized payment management system of the National Data Center; Building a new public service portal - One-touch public services for people; (iv) BIDV is the bank managing the National Data Development Fund account and receiving entrustment to lend to subjects within the scope of the Fund.
The National Tourism Information Center also announced two account numbers at BIDV Thanh Xuan branch to receive official funding (in VND and USD) for the Fund.
At the event, BIDV General Director Le Ngoc Lam represented the bank to donate funds to the National Data Development Fund, demonstrating BIDV's determination to accompany the Ministry of Public Security in particular and state management agencies in general in the journey to promote national digital transformation.

The cooperation between the two units is an important step to join hands in creating a modern, transparent, safe and effective data ecosystem; a foundation for digital economic development and ensuring national data sovereignty.
The National Data Development Fund is a non-budgetary state financial fund, operating not for profit with an initial capital of 1,000 billion VND, assigned to the Ministry of Public Security for management. The Fund aims to strongly support the development of data technology, artificial intelligence, big data, machine learning; Apply data to serve national digital transformation, especially in difficult areas; Support innovative data startups; Develop the innovation ecosystem and Vietnam's data market. The Fund provides preferential loans, supports costs, investments and capacity building for organizations and individuals. In particular, the Fund allows receiving sponsorship, contributions and entrustments from domestic and foreign organizations and individuals, to accompany the State in creating a modern, safe and effective data infrastructure. |
