Over the years, BIDV has affirmed its pioneering role in accompanying and supporting SMEs. The Bank has continuously expanded its cooperation with international financial institutions to optimize support resources for this business sector. A typical example is the strategic cooperation relationship with the Asian Development Bank (ADB), through which BIDV has implemented many practical programs to support SMEs, especially women-owned enterprises, on the path to sustainable development. Support activities include improving access to preferential loans, increasing positive social and environmental impacts from loan projects, as well as supporting businesses to respond to and minimize negative impacts from the Covid-19 pandemic.

In addition, BIDV has donated MISA accounting software and KiuBMP business management software to help SMEs improve their financial management and business operations in a systematic manner. The bank also developed the SMEasy digital platform, creating conditions for SMEs to access convenient digital banking services, improve digital transformation capacity and promote sustainable development in the context of the digital economy.

These efforts of BIDV have been highly appreciated and recognized by prestigious domestic and international organizations through many awards, typically: Top 10 Sustainable Enterprises in the field of trade and services (voted by VCCI), Best SME Bank in Southeast Asia (awarded by Global Banking & Finance Review Magazine), Leading Digital Solution Provider Bank in Vietnam (awarded by Asiamoney Magazine)...
