BIDV Donates 20 Billion Dong in Support of Humanitarian Month 2026

On the morning of April 29, 2026, at the launch ceremony for the 2026 National Humanitarian Month, BIDV donated 20 billion VND to the Vietnam Red Cross Society

This year’s Humanitarian Month launch ceremony is themed “80 Years – A Journey of Compassion for the Community.” The program, organized by the Vietnam Red Cross Society, coincides with the 80th anniversary of the Vietnam Red Cross Society’s founding and International Red Cross and Red Crescent Day on May 8. The program was broadcast live to four locations in Tuyen Quang, Nghe An, An Giang, and Van Dinh Commune (Hanoi), while also being streamed online to 34 provinces and cities nationwide.

Building on the tradition of “mutual support and solidarity,” the banking sector continues to affirm its pioneering role in social welfare activities, with representatives from 22 commercial banks participating and a total pledged contribution of 310 billion VND.

At the event, Mr. Dang Van Tuyena member of the Board of Directors representing BIDV’s leadership—attended and presented a symbolic plaque representing a donation of 20 billion VND to the Vietnam Red Cross Society.

These funds will be utilized by the Vietnam Red Cross Central Committee for various practical activities, including supporting sustainable livelihoods, constructing Red Cross houses, awarding scholarships, implementing voluntary blood donation campaigns, registering organ and tissue donations, and providing community first aid training.

As of the time of the event, the total funds mobilized for Humanitarian Month 2026 had reached 620 billion VND. All 34 provinces and cities have issued implementation plans, providing sustainable livelihood support to over 10,310 households, carrying out 1,682 humanitarian projects and initiatives, and mobilizing nearly 80,000 units of blood.
