BIDV Exhibit Draws 20,000 Visitors at Vietnam’s 80-Year National Expo

From August 28 to September 15, 2025, the National Exhibition Center (Dong Anh, Hanoi) became a major meeting place for tens of millions of people across the country in the atmosphere of celebrating the 80th anniversary of National Day. Long lines of people stretched under the dome of colorful flags and flowers, eagerly exploring the exhibition booths, rediscovering the heroic imprints and feeling the new rhythm of life of the country today.

In that common space, the exhibition area of the banking industry's achievements organized by the State Bank made a strong impression. The design simulated the State Bank's headquarters with a symbolic dome roof, combined with artistic models such as the map of Vietnam created from coins or the rainbow pattern on banknotes. Documentary films about the 80-year journey of the banking industry further highlighted the journey of accompanying the country of an industry considered the lifeblood of the entire economy.

In particular, the banking and financial services experience space attracts a large number of visitors: from opening an online account via eKYC, QR payment, ApplePay, to interactive games and lucky spins. It is the combination of traditional materials and modern technology that makes this place an unforgettable stop.

BIDV: Honoring the Past, Leading the Future

In the middle of the exhibition space, BIDV's booth stands out with its storytelling that strongly connects the past and the present. Entering this area, visitors seem to be taken back in time, looking back at the 68-year journey of a bank since its establishment in 1957 under the name of Vietnam Construction Bank, and BIDV's attachment to each historical period of the country: from war to peace, from recovery, restoration to economic innovation, deep integration into the global economy. During that journey, BIDV is extremely proud of contributing intelligence, effort and blood to a series of historical projects of the country such as Ho Chi Minh road, Hoa Binh Hydropower Plant, Son La, 500KV North - South power line, highways, seaports with the mark of capital from BIDV... and up to now is a pioneer in the national digital transformation program, increasing capital for green projects.

Images and documentary films about national projects, social security programs imbued with noble gestures, or the imprint of Party and Government leaders working with BIDV have given visitors a realistic and emotional look at the contributions of the earliest established bank in Vietnam and currently the largest in the banking industry.

Technology Meets Everyday Life

Right from the opening day of the exhibition (August 28, 2025), BIDV was honored to welcome the State Bank's leaders. Here, BIDV Deputy General Director - Mr. Phan Thanh Hai introduced to the Governor of the State Bank - Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong and the Deputy Governors BIDV Direct - a pioneering financial management application for businesses.

This platform not only provides convenient services on payment, deposits, trade finance, foreign exchange, online loans... but also directly supports businesses in fully fulfilling their obligations to the State such as taxes, fees... especially supporting the improvement of production and business efficiency through miniapps of enterprise resource planning solutions (ERP). Through the platform, BIDV simultaneously deploys a completely online full-process credit service - helping businesses, especially SMEs, access capital quickly, transparently and safely.

Along with that is a vibrant “financial supermarket” where customers can experience a series of modern digital products: from SmartBanking X, BIDV Home, BIDV Direct, Open API, to home loan packages or solutions for SMEs. In just a few steps, customers can open an account, get a quick loan or manage business finances right on the application.

In particular, BIDV also supports customers to connect their social security accounts via the VNeID application, immediately receiving a gift of 100,000 VND from the Government. This demonstrates BIDV's efforts in bringing banking services closer to people, from urban to rural areas.

Fun experiences : from AI bots to tech touches

During the 19 days of the event, BIDV booth was always bustling with thousands of visitors every day from 9:00 am until the exhibition closed at 10:00 pm, peaking on the September 2nd holiday with an average of 1,800 check-ins at the booth every day. The atmosphere was like a small festival, when people lined up to try out digital banking, or take unique check-in photos with the AI photo booth.

Children and the elderly are excited to experience VR/AR technology to explore the BIDV Home application. Young people are eager to explore digital banking with a store of payment utilities, financial management, spending tracking... on the same BIDV SmartBanking application. An elderly customer shared: "I thought digital banking was difficult to use, but it turned out to be so simple." All of this creates a multi-layered experience space - where each generation finds its own interesting things.

The highlight is the unlimited number of spins on the Lucky Wheel, just check-in or register for the service to have the chance to receive thousands of attractive e-vouchers. The cheers that resound every time a special gift appears make the atmosphere lively, keeping customers staying longer.
