BIDV Partners with Hanoi City to Promote the Digital Economy and Digital Society
June 27, 2026 – BIDV partnered with the Hanoi City People’s Committee to successfully organize the conference “Promoting the Digital Economy and Digital Society.”
The event marked a concrete step in implementing the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signed by both parties on June 26, 2026, reaffirming BIDV’s position as a pioneering financial institution, contributing BIDV’s substantial resources to the effort of building a digital infrastructure and promoting financial inclusion in the capital.
Attendees included Mr. Truong Viet Dung—Vice Chairman of the Hanoi People’s Committee—along with leaders from the Department of Science and Technology, leaders of communes and wards across the city, and representatives from relevant departments and agencies. Representing BIDV were leaders from various departments and centers at the headquarters, as well as leaders and staff from nine branches in Hanoi assigned to coordinate services for 126 communes and wards.

As a strategic partner, BIDV is committed to actively and comprehensively participating in activities to promote the digital economy and digital society in Hanoi. Speaking and presenting a paper at the conference, a BIDV representative shared the bank’s capabilities and superior digital financial solutions. With total assets leading the banking system, BIDV is a pioneer in providing financial solutions that meet the urgent capital needs and optimize operations for SMEs and business households, notably through sales management solutions directly on the mobile banking app, as well as digital credit solutions featuring streamlined procedures, ultra-fast processing, and competitive interest rates.

The BIDV product and service showcase area at the event attracted a large number of representatives from communes and wards who came to experience the solutions firsthand. The highlights of this area were two next-generation sales management solutions: Direct Shop (for SMEs) and My Shop Pro (for small business owners, street vendors, and retail stores). This is a closed “all-in-one” digital ecosystem that fully integrates features ranging from opening a store, placing orders, and scanning QR codes for payment to issuing electronic invoices, managing revenue, and settling debts in real time.
As part of its action plan, BIDV will continue to work closely with the city’s departments and agencies to address digital transformation needs and provide credit support through the Mini App on the iHanoi platform. The bank will also partner to organize in-depth advisory seminars on taxation, cash flow digitization solutions, and the mobilization of preferential capital for priority groups in accordance with the City People’s Committee’s policies.

BIDV’s collaborative initiatives once again demonstrate the bank’s commitment to working side-by-side with Hanoi City to realize and achieve breakthroughs in digital economy and digital society goals, contributing to the development of a civilized, modern, and sustainably developed capital city.
