BIDV joins the banking industry in giving Tet gifts to poor people in Son La province
On February 8, 2026, in Bac Yen and Phu Yen communes, Son La province, the banking industry presented 30,712 Tet gifts worth VND 17.8 billion to poor households, near-poor households, and families facing difficulties in the area.
Among them, BIDV presented 7,053 Tet gifts, worth VND 3.5265 billion, contributing to the banking industry's efforts to spread love and a spirit of sharing to poor people in Son La province as Tet approaches.
A delegation from the State Bank of Vietnam, led by Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong - Member of the Party Central Committee, Party Secretary, and Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam, visited and presented Tet gifts on the occasion of the 2026 Lunar New Year to poor people in two disadvantaged communes of Son La province, Phu Yen and Bac Yen.

The delegation included Comrade Pham Tien Dung, Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, Deputy Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam, Chairman of the Vietnam Bank Workers' Union, representatives of the leadership of departments and units of the State Bank of Vietnam, and General Directors of state-owned commercial banks and policy banks.
Representing Son La Province were Comrade Lo Minh Hung, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Comrade Nguyen Dinh Viet, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; leaders of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province and the Provincial People's Committee Office; leaders of the State Bank of Vietnam's Regional Branch III and several joint-stock commercial banks and commercial banks in the province; comrades from the Standing Party Committee, leaders of the People's Committee, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, and representatives of nearly 200 poor households, near-poor households, and households with particularly difficult circumstances in the two communes of Bac Yen and Phu Yen.

The Vietnam Bank Workers' Union also presented 2,500 gifts worth 3.75 billion VND to representatives of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee to be sent to poor people in Son La province.
At the same time, in the presence of the Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam, each state-owned commercial bank donated VND 3.526 billion to poor people in Son La province.
Comrade Le Ngoc Lam - Member of the Board of Directors, General Director of BIDV, represented BIDV Bank in presenting 7,053 Tet gifts worth VND 3.5265 billion, contributing to the banking industry's efforts to spread love and a spirit of sharing to the poor people of Son La Province as Tet approaches.

In parallel with the sector's programs, BIDV has proactively implemented many meaningful social welfare programs across the country. Notably, on February 5, 2026, BIDV announced the donation of 70,000 Tet gifts, worth 40 billion VND, in the annual program "Warm Tet for the Poor," with the desire to bring a warmer and more abundant Tet to poor people and those in difficult circumstances in localities across the country.

BIDV's series of social welfare activities during the 2026 Lunar New Year is a meaningful initiative to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the establishment of the State Bank of Vietnam (May 6, 1951 - May 6, 2026), the 70th anniversary of the Bank's establishment (April 26, 1957 - April 26, 2027), and demonstrates its role as a leading bank that always takes the lead in implementing and accompanying the State Bank's guidelines and policies, spreading humanistic values and solidarity to the community.
