BIDV Receives Double Awards for Trade Finance from ADB
BIDV was honored to receive the award "Leading Partner Bank of a Decade" at the 10th Trade and Supply Chain Finance Program (TSCFP) Awards Ceremony organized by the Asian Development Bank (ADB) in Singapore on September 3, 2024.
As the commercial bank with the largest credit line granted by ADB in Vietnam, BIDV has closely cooperated with ADB to support more than 1,640 trade transactions with a total value of more than 4.6 billion USD in the past 10 years. The award, given only to BIDV as the issuing bank among 87 issuing banks in 16 member countries of ADB's TSCFP program, is ADB's recognition of BIDV in implementing comprehensive cooperation between the two parties on trade finance transactions, supporting Vietnamese corporate customers to expand import-export activities with global partners and contributing to the overall development of trade finance activities in the region.

Also within the framework of the Awards Ceremony, BIDV was honored as the Bank with the best green financing transaction in 2024, with the L/C transaction to import turbines, pillars and spare parts to serve the installation of pillars in phase 3 of the Tan An 1 Offshore Wind Power Project (100KW). The transaction simultaneously met ADB's strict evaluation and scoring criteria including commercial impact assessment, positive environmental impact, ADB and BIDV's contribution to supporting customers and transactions to be awarded the green financing transaction this year.
BIDV's double award on the occasion of the special 10th anniversary of the TSCFP Awards Ceremony once again reaffirms BIDV's position, capacity and prestige in cooperation with ADB. This is also a message to international partners affirming BIDV as a leading partner in Vietnam in promoting trade finance and global supply chains, especially in the process of green and sustainable transition.
