Stock Market on February 2: SMA acts as a support level

BASIC MARKET
The VN-Index fell from the opening of the morning session to 1,775. After that, the VN-Index recovered from this level, narrowing its decline and closing at 1,806.50 points, down more than 22 points from yesterday.

Market breadth leaned negative with 12 out of 18 sectors declining, led by the Real Estate sector, followed by the Personal & Household Goods sector. On the other hand, the Oil & Gas and Insurance sectors had positive trading sessions.

Regarding foreign investors' transactions, they net sold nearly VND 2.5 trillion on the HSX today.

The SMA50 acted as support for the market today. The market is still in the process of forming a base above the 1,800 level, but price movements need to be more decisive.

FUTURES
CONTRACTS All futures contracts declined in line with the movement of the VN30.

WARRANTS
In the trading session on February 2, 2026, warrants fluctuated in a weakening trend.

• Pulling the index up: VCB (+1.84), GVR (+1.78), BSR (+1.74), BID (+1.71), CTG (+1.03).
• Pulling the index down: VIC (-15.33), VHM (-6.14), VPL (-2.08), TCB (-1.35), GAS (-1.28).
• The VN-Index's matched order value reached VND 29,673 billion, up 8.40% from the previous session. The total transaction value reached VND 31,985 billion.
• Fluctuation range: 50.06 points. The market had 128 gainers, 41 reference stocks, and 210 losers.
• Net selling value of foreign investors: -2,466.93 billion VND on the HOSE, including VIC (-543.58 billion), VHM (-330.28 billion), VCB (-192.74 billion), VRE (-176.98 billion), HPG (-140.22 billion). Foreign investors net sold on the HNX with a value of -34.30 billion VND.
