Today's Stock Market 4/3: The stock market continues to find its balance following a recovery
Rising oil prices have made investors more cautious, putting pressure on the stock market.
The benchmark
VN-Index continued to decline by nearly 11 points today, closing at 1,684.04 points.
Market breadth leaned toward the negative side, with 15 out of 18 sectors declining, led by the Industrial Goods & Services sector, followed by Retail, Basic Materials, and others. On the other hand, the Insurance sector had a positive trading session.
Regarding foreign investors’ trading activity, they returned to net selling today, offloading approximately 1.5 trillion VND on the HSX exchange while net buying on the HNX and UPCOM exchanges.
The market is still seeking equilibrium following last week’s recovery.

All VN30 futures contracts declined, in line with the movement of the VN30 index.

In the trading session on April 3, 2026, most warrants moved in line with the adjustment in the underlying securities.

• Driving the index higher: VIC (+1.85), VHM (+1.16), LPB (+0.86), GAS (+0.52), BSR (+0.49).

• Net selling value by foreign investors: -1,568.82 billion VND on the HOSE, including VHM (-456.62 billion), HPG (-217.39 billion), MWG (-175.64 billion), VPB (-170.86 billion), and HDB (-147.38 billion). Foreign investors were net buyers on the HNX with a value of 32.15 billion VND.
