  • U.S. - Iran: President Trump threatened to launch further attacks on Iran, just hours after the U.S. reinstated a blockade on cargo shipments through the Strait of Hormuz.
  • United States: The U.S. all-items CPI for June rose only 3.5% year-over-year, down from 4.2% and below the forecast of 3.8%; on a monthly basis, prices fell 0.4% (compared to a forecast of a 0.1% decline). Core CPI also unexpectedly moderated to 2.6% year-over-year (from 2.9%), while the month-over-month core CPI remained flat (0.0%)—the weakest reading since January 2021.
