BIDV Party Committee attends national conference to implement Resolutions 79 and 80 of the Politburo
On February 25, 2026, the Party Committee of the Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam attended the National Conference to study, learn, implement, and deploy Resolution No. 79-NQ/TW and Resolution No. 80-NQ/TW of the Politburo.
The conference was chaired by the Party Central Committee Secretariat with the participation and guidance of General Secretary To Lam. Representing the BIDV Party Committee were Mr. Phan Duc Tu - Member of the Party Committee of the Government, Party Secretary, Chairman of the Board of Directors, and all leaders of the Executive Board who attended the conference in person.

At the BIDV Party Committee, 96 online connections were recorded from Party organizations under the BIDV Party Committee and 141 online connections from Party organizations within the BIDV system in localities across the country. A total of more than 12,000 officials, Party members, and employees participated in online research and study at the locations. At the BIDV Head Office location, Comrade Tran Xuan Hoang, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, chaired the Conference.
The conference presented two specialized topics, thoroughly explaining the key and core contents of Resolution No. 79-NQ/TW dated January 6, 2026 of the Politburo on the development of the state economy and Resolution No. 80-NQ/TW dated January 7, 2026 of the Politburo on the development of Vietnamese culture.
In particular, Resolution 79-NQ/TW of the Politburo marks a fundamental shift in the thinking on state-owned economic development: from a role of "holding and covering" to a role of creating, leading, and paving the way for high-quality growth, in a complementary and synergistic relationship with the private economic sector. The resolution affirms that the state economy operates according to market principles and equal competition, not replacing but creating space for the private sector to develop, with state-owned enterprises playing a leading role in creating ecosystems and guiding value chains in the national economy.
Along with that, Resolution 80-NQ/TW of the Politburo on cultural development reflects the Party's strategic, long-term, and timely vision for the cause of reviving and developing Vietnamese culture. This is a particularly important decision in the context of cultural integration into the international community. For the first time, culture is placed in close relation to the economy and the market, with cultural and artistic products considered a resource for development and an important component of national "soft power."
The full and serious participation of the BIDV Party Committee in the National Conference contributes to strategic orientation in the early concretization of the spirit of Resolutions 79-80 into business activities, clearly demonstrating the political responsibility and position of the BIDV Party Committee in the state economic system, contributing to the successful implementation of the country's rapid and sustainable development goals in the new phase.
