Stock Market Today, February 3: Capital Shifts, VN-Index Forms Support Level Above 1,800
Domestic capital flows are shifting toward the real estate and insurance sectors, helping many major indices close in positive territory.
BASIC MARKET
The VN-Index failed to break through the 1,830 threshold. After nearly reaching this threshold, selling pressure pushed the index down to close at 1,813.40 points, up nearly 7 points from yesterday.
Market breadth was positive with 13 out of 18 sectors gaining points, led by the Insurance sector, followed by the Industrial Goods & Services sector. On the other hand, the Retail sector fell the most.
The market is still in the process of forming a price base above the 1,800-point threshold and there are no specific signals of a trend change. Investors should trade cautiously.
