Today's Stock Market, April 2: VN-Index Struggles as It Returns to Previous Resistance Level
The VN-Index is facing resistance as it returns to the 1,700–1,725 resistance zone.
BASIC MARKET
After a day of fluctuating within the 1,684.47 – 1,706.15 range, the VN-Index closed at 1,694.82 points, down more than 8 points from yesterday.
Market breadth leaned toward the negative side, with 14 out of 18 sectors declining, including the Media, Insurance, and Banking sectors, which fell by more than 1.3%. On the other hand, the Real Estate sector had a positive trading session today.
Regarding foreign investors’ trading, they were net buyers across all three exchanges—HSX, HNX, and UPCOM—today, with particularly heavy net buying of nearly 3 trillion VND on the HSX.
The VN-Index is facing resistance as it returns to the 1,700–1,725 resistance zone; in the coming sessions, the index may form a new price base within the 1,700–1,710 range.
FUTURES
CONTRACTS All VN30 futures contracts declined, in line with the movement of the VN30 index.
WARRANTS
In the trading session on April 2, 2026, most warrants moved in line with the corrective trend of the underlying securities.
