Stock Market Today, March 4: More time is needed for market sentiment to stabilize
A series of blue-chip stocks recovered, pushing the VN-Index above the reference level successfully.
BASIC MARKET
The VN-Index fluctuated sharply during today's session, at one point falling more than 2% before bottom-fishing demand returned, helping the index close up 5.13 points from the previous day at 1,818.27.
Declining stocks outnumbered advancing stocks, with 12 out of 18 sectors falling. The Industrial Goods & Services and Chemicals sectors fell the most, while the Oil & Gas sector continued to rise strongly.
Regarding foreign trading, today this group sold net on all three exchanges: HSX, HNX, and UPCOM. The bottom-fishing demand during the session was quite good, helping the index stay above the SMA 50 line. However, we maintain a cautious trading stance as the market remains volatile and there are no clear signs of a rebound after the recent sharp declines.
FUTURES CONTRACTS
Futures contracts tended to decline in line with the movement of VN30, except for contracts 41I1G4000 and 41I1G3000.

In the trading session on March 4, 2026, warrants fluctuated in a tug-of-war pattern.
