Today's Stock Market 10/3: Market recovers after record plunge
The decline in global oil prices, along with the recovery of global stock markets, had a positive impact on the Vietnamese stock market today.
BASIC MARKET
The VN-Index recovered to 1,676.73 points, up nearly 24 points from yesterday.
Market breadth leaned toward the positive side with 12 out of 18 sectors gaining points, with the Basic Resources sector rising the most, followed by the Personal & Household Goods sector. On the other hand, the Oil & Gas sector fell sharply by 6%.
Regarding foreign trading, today this group bought a net of over VND 1 trillion on the HSX and sold a net on the other two exchanges. The deep correction slowed down today, but market sentiment remains unstable and volatility is high; investors need to trade cautiously.
In the coming sessions, the VN-Index will need time to find a new equilibrium point, possibly in the range of 1,650 – 1,670.

Futures contracts rose in line with the movement of the VN30.

In the trading session on March 10, 2026, warrants fluctuated in line with the recovery.

• The VN-Index's trading value reached VND 38,210 billion, down -0.34% compared to the previous session. The total trading value reached VND 41,787 billion.
• Fluctuation range: 65.33 points. The market had 258 gainers, 37 references, and 88 decliners.
• Net buying value of foreign investors: VND 1,128.99 billion on the HOSE, including HPG (VND 581.30 billion), MWG (VND 561.61 billion), FPT (VND 317.48 billion), VNM (VND 222.25 billion), and BSR (VND 158.59 billion). Foreign investors net sold on the HNX with a value of -53.14 billion VND.
