Today's Stock Market on March 9: Stocks Plunge Across the Board, VN-Index Loses Over 100 Points

BASIC MARKET
The VN-Index fell sharply right after the opening bell. The index spent most of the day fluctuating between 1,650 and 1,675 before closing at 1,652.79 points, down nearly 7% from the previous session.

The market breadth leaned toward the negative side with 18/18 sectors declining, of which 16/18 sectors fell by more than 5%. Regarding foreign trading, today this group sold net on the HSX and UPCOM exchanges and bought net on the HNX exchange.

In the coming sessions, investors should trade cautiously; in a negative scenario, the VN-Index could fall to the next support zone, equivalent to 1,580 – 1,600 points.
