Scam Alert: Reward Points Redemption via Text Message
BIDV does not send SMS messages containing links. Any messages containing links are fraudulent. Therefore, customers must absolutely not click on any links sent via SMS purporting to be from BIDV.
Recently, some customers have received SMS messages with the BIDV brand name notifying them of reward point redemptions from their credit cards and including a link asking customers to enter personal and account information. In reality, these are fraudulent links designed to trick customers into revealing their card information and online banking security details in order to steal their assets.
BIDV does not send SMS messages containing links. Any messages with links are fraudulent. Therefore, customers must absolutely not click on any links sent via SMS impersonating BIDV.
If you discover or suspect a fraudulent message, please immediately notify BIDV at the nearest branch, call the hotline at 19009247, or contact the nearest police station for assistance.
