On August 28, 2025, within the framework of the Vietnam Annual Finance Forum 2025, part of the Da Nang Finance and Technology Week 2025, the Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV) co-organized the special session "Green Finance and Sustainable Development" – one of the highlights of the forum.

A meeting point to connect and spread the momentum for development

The Finance and Technology Week, chaired by the Danang City People's Committee, is an event connecting regulatory agencies, experts, organizations, businesses, and domestic and foreign investors. The program aims to enhance Vietnam's position as an international financial center in the GFCI rankings, while promoting the application of blockchain, developing the semiconductor industry, and promoting Danang's potential for cooperation and investment.

Within the framework of the Forum, BIDV partnered with the Da Nang City People's Committee to organize a special session on "Green Finance and Sustainable Development" with the theme "Da Nang – a destination for green finance initiatives." The discussion session was highly appreciated and contributed to shaping the strategy of building Da Nang into an international financial center linked to green growth goals.

At the seminar, Mr. Tran Long, Deputy General Director of BIDV, analyzed the topic "Development Finance – A Pillar for Promoting Sustainable Development." Strategic partnership with Da Nang City

At the event, BIDV also showcased and introduced its outstanding digital banking products and green finance solutions, notably the BIDV Direct platform – a new digital banking application for corporate customers. BIDV Direct is designed based on the customer journey, offering a seamless multi-channel experience with a modern, minimalist interface, superior processing speed, and advanced security technology, accompanying businesses in elevating their experience in the new digital era.

Speakers and guests at the forum

Notably, BIDV's presence at the forum is part of its extensive cooperation with the city of Da Nang. Previously, on May 23, 2025, BIDV and the Da Nang People's Committee signed a memorandum of understanding to cooperate in developing financial technology solutions for the Da Nang Free Trade Zone. This agreement marks the beginning of a comprehensive partnership between the two parties, aiming to support Da Nang in developing into a high-quality commercial and financial center, creating a driving force for the Central-Highlands region and the whole country; while also becoming an important link connecting the East-West Economic Corridor, the Asia-Pacific region, and the world.

Participating in and co-organizing the Forum reaffirms BIDV's pioneering role in green and sustainable finance, while demonstrating the Bank's commitment to working with Vietnam to realize the country's green growth and sustainable development goals.
