On December 22, 2025, BIDV was honored in the category of Pioneer in Science and Technology in ESG Implementation. The award was presented within the framework of the ESG Vietnam Awards organized by Dan Tri Newspaper.

The award was presented on December 5, 2025 at the Vietnam Sustainable Enterprises 2025 Announcement Ceremony organized by VCCI and the Business Council for Sustainable Development.

On October 23-24, 2025, in Beijing, ADB coordinated with the Ministry of Finance of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg to organize an international workshop on sustainable financial transformation.

On August 28, 2025, within the framework of the Vietnam Annual Finance Forum 2025, part of the Da Nang Finance and Technology Week 2025, the Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV) co-organized the special session "Green Finance and Sustainable Development" – one of the highlights of the forum.

Ms. Nguyễn Thị Thái Linh, an officer from BIDV's Enterprise-wide Risk Management Department, has become the first professional in Vietnam’s banking industry to earn the Sustainability and Climate Risk (SCR) certification—an internationally recognized credential in ESG risk management awarded by the Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP). The certification is known for its rigorous standards and relatively low pass rate of just over 60%.
