BIDV and its journey back to its roots: Meaningful social welfare initiatives in Ha Tinh Province
Recently, the Party Committee of the Corporate Customer Management Department, in collaboration with the Ha Tinh Branch, organized a series of meaningful activities focused on cultural heritage and social welfare in Ha Tinh Province.
This was not only an opportunity for bank staff to reflect on the nation’s glorious historical traditions but also a chance to foster a sense of social responsibility and join hands in supporting educational initiatives in this region—a land of scholarly tradition that still faces many challenges.
The journey began with a political education program titled “Following the Footsteps of Youth” at the Dong Loc Crossroads Historical Site. Under the blue sky of this heroic land, the BIDV delegation respectfully offered incense at the Memorial Stele honoring the National Youth Volunteer Martyrs and at the gravesite of the 10 female youth volunteer heroes at Ngã Ba Đồng Lộc. Standing before archival footage reenacting the fierce battles of the past, time seemed to stand still as deep emotion blended with the profound gratitude of today’s generation. The delegation presented the “Youth Tree Row” to add a touch of greenery to the historic site’s landscape.
Leaving Dong Loc Junction, BIDV’s journey continued toward Son Tay Middle School, a mountainous school located in Son Tay Commune, Ha Tinh Province. Despite limited infrastructure, the teachers and students at Son Tay School have, for many years, strived to maintain the title of “National Standard School,” backed by a proud track record of teaching and learning achievements. However, faced with the increasingly demanding requirements of digital transformation in education, the school still grapples with a shortage of technological equipment to support learning.
Understanding these challenges, the “Donate Computers – Invest in the Future” program has provided extremely practical gifts. At the event, the Corporate Client Management Department, together with BIDV Ha Tinh, donated a modern computer lab equipped with 20 sets of synchronized computers to support teaching and learning, as well as 20 meaningful gifts to students from disadvantaged backgrounds who are striving to excel in their studies. In addition, the delegation supported the planting of a “Youth Tree Row” on the school grounds to foster a green, clean, and beautiful educational environment. The total value of the program’s social welfare gifts reached 180 million VND.
These meaningful gifts not only directly improve infrastructure but also create additional learning opportunities, helping students in rural and mountainous areas quickly access knowledge and develop digital skills to confidently meet the demands of the technological age.
The series of activities concluded with the bright smiles of the students and a warm feeling lingering in the hearts of every BIDV staff member. This practical social welfare program continued the tradition of goodwill that BIDV has cultivated, strongly affirming its mission to serve the community and spreading the noble humanistic values that BIDV aspires to bring to every corner of the country.
