BIDV, Together with the Banking Industry, Donates to Social Welfare Funds in Quang Tri, Ha Tinh, and Nghe An
Recently, a delegation from the State Bank of Vietnam, led by Comrade Pham Duc An—a member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee, and Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam—visited Quang Tri, Ha Tinh, and Nghe An provinces to deliver 30 billion VND in social welfare funds. Of this amount, BIDV contributed more than 7.1 billion VND.
This program is a meaningful initiative marking the 79th anniversary of “Martyrs’ and Wounded Soldiers’ Day,” through which the banking sector expresses gratitude to those who have contributed to the nation, while also supporting local governments in providing for the livelihoods of policy beneficiaries and residents in difficult circumstances.
In his speech at the donation ceremony, Pham Duc An, Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam (NHNN), emphasized, “The social security fund donation campaign is a humanitarian act demonstrated by all executives, officials, and employees of the banking sector.” This initiative is carried out annually to put into practice the principles of “repaying kindness” and “remembering the source when drinking water,” and to carry on the banking sector’s fine traditions. The Governor of the Central Bank expressed his hope that these funds would contribute to providing better care for policy-beneficiary households in Quang Tri, Ha Tinh, and Nghe An provinces, as well as to the effective implementation of social security programs in those regions.
At the fund-delivery ceremonies in Quang Tri, Ha Tinh, and Nghe An provinces, representatives from the provincial leadership expressed deep gratitude for the banking sector’s affection, interest, and partnership-based support shown to each locality—not only in the process of socioeconomic development but also in social welfare initiatives—and at the same time, they pledged to use the donated funds effectively and practically in accordance with their intended purpose, thereby contributing to widely promoting the profound humanitarian significance of this program.
