Emotional journey of IT & NHS youth

{Nhat Linh} {Publication date}

Recently, to celebrate the 68th anniversary of BIDV, the Youth Union of Information Technology and Digital Banking (IT&NHS) deployed a meaningful program on returning to the source and social security in Tuyen Quang province. The trip was not only a journey to fulfill community responsibility but also an opportunity for each member to feel more clearly the value of sharing, camaraderie and national pride.

Tree planting program "Join hands to paint a green Vietnam"

At the beginning of the trip, more than 60 youth union members of the IT & NHS Block participated in the tree planting program "Joining hands to draw a green Vietnam" initiated by BIDV Youth Union. This is a meaningful activity in the current context when environmental protection and climate change response are becoming top concerns. We and the Son Duong District Youth Union members planted 300 trees and supported 2,200 acacia seedlings in Dong Quan village (Tuyen Quang province).

As the acacia trees were planted, we felt the connection between humans and nature. Each tree planted is not only a part of the ecosystem, but also a symbol of hope and the future. Together, we dug the soil and planted trees, shared laughter and stories, creating a warm and cohesive atmosphere among the members of the group.

Groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of the Great Unity House

We attended the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of the Great Unity House for Mr. Vuong Minh Luan's family in Dong Chanh village, Luong Thien commune, Tuyen Quang province. This is a meaningful social welfare program, demonstrating the spirit of mutual love of the Vietnamese people.

In the solemn atmosphere of the ceremony, we heard touching stories from the Deputy Secretary of the Son Duong District Youth Union. He told about the difficulties and hardships that the households had gone through, but they were still full of hope for a brighter future. For the first time, we learned about the concepts of "four-sided poverty" and "multi-sided poverty". Being able to contribute to the construction of the house, we felt proud to have done something of great significance. The house is not only a place to shelter poor families from the sun and rain, but also a symbol of solidarity and sharing in the community. After the groundbreaking ceremony, we moved to the two households of Ms. Hoang Thi Phuong (Khuan Man village, Luong Thien commune) and Ms. Ngo Thi Mung (Tan Lap village, Tan Trao commune) to give money to support the construction of the houses. The total value of support for the three solidarity houses is 220 million VND.

Journey to the source

The final destination of the IT&NHS Youth Union's journey was the Tan Trao historical relic site - "The capital of the liberated zone", which marked the glorious golden pages of the Vietnamese revolution. Here, the delegation offered incense and commemorated at Na Nua hut. In the midst of the land, sky, mountains and forests of Tuyen Quang, through the emotional voice of a Tuyen Quang native, the historical stories associated with Na Nua hut really moved us. That was the story about the simple, modest lifestyle of President Ho Chi Minh during the days he lived in Na Nua hut (from the end of May to August 22, 1945), about the days when he was seriously ill with high fevers, sometimes exhausted and delirious. But when he woke up, he still told comrade Vo Nguyen Giap: "At this time, the favorable opportunity has come, no matter how much sacrifice, even if we have to burn the whole Truong Son range, we must resolutely gain independence" .

Na Nua hut is the location directly chosen by Uncle Ho, located in the Na Nua forest, in the Hong mountain range. The hut is hidden under the dense canopy of trees, ensuring secrecy and meeting Uncle Ho's requirements: close to the water, close to the people, far from the national highway, convenient for advance and retreat. The 79 stone steps leading up to Na Nua hut symbolize the 79 springs Uncle Ho devoted to the country.

At Na Nua hut, Uncle Ho ordered the establishment of the Liberation Zone including 06 provinces: Cao Bang, Bac Kan, Lang Son, Ha Giang, Tuyen Quang, Thai Nguyen; unifying the armed forces, called the Liberation Army.

The delegation also visited and offered incense at Tan Trao Communal House - a special national relic and located in the Tan Trao Special National Relic Complex. Tan Trao Communal House has become a "red address" in the journey back to the roots of compatriots at home and abroad, a place to educate the tradition of patriotism and national pride for generations. This is where the National Congress was held (August 16 and 17, 1945), the congress was likened to the second Dien Hong Conference in the history of our country.

The final destination of the group's journey back to the source is the Memorial House, designed with a curved dome, sturdy wooden and stone pillars, and a spacious, quiet space. In the middle room is a solemnly decorated altar, a horizontal lacquered board hanging high with the four words "Chinh dai quang minh", on both sides are two parallel sentences: " Though the sun or rain, the times change, the sky will always shine Tan Trao Hong Thai. As long as the mountains and rivers remain, the pure heart will not change, people will still return to Viet Bac Tuyen Quang."

On both sides are two rows of statues of 14 revolutionary predecessors including: Truong Chinh, Le Duan, Ton Duc Thang, Pham Van Dong, Vo Nguyen Giap, Bui Bang Doan, Pham Hung, Vo Van Kiet, Nguyen Luong Bang, Le Van Luong, Ho Tung Mau, Hoang Quoc Viet, Nguyen Chi Thanh and To Huu. The memorial area for revolutionary predecessors in Tan Trao is a work of historical and cultural value; a place where national strength and spirit converge.

The trip ended, but the emotions and lessons still lingered. It was the pride of wearing the BIDV youth green shirt, the camaraderie, the closeness of teammates, the motivation for each member of the IT & TNHS Block to continue to practice, strive and spread good values in work and life. We are committed to acting with all our hearts, contributing with enthusiasm, accompanying the sustainable development of BIDV and the country.
