Episode 3: "Universe of Money" Quarterfinals—Join BIDV in Strengthening Cybersecurity and Digital Risk Management
Episode 3 of the Quarterfinals of *The Moneyverse 2026*, themed “The Comet of Risk,” has just concluded a dramatic showdown between three competing teams: Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics and Finance (UEF), Can Tho University (CTU), and the People’s Police University.
As a strategic partner, BIDV continues to stand alongside the younger generation in tackling pressing current issues in the digital environment: financial fraud, cybersecurity, and the manipulation of personal data.
BIDV helps promote financial safety awareness in the digital age
The rapid growth of digital banking and online transactions offers unparalleled convenience, but it also comes with significant risks from sophisticated scams. Aligning with the theme “The Risk Comet,” BIDV aims to equip young people—especially Gen Z—not only with basic financial management knowledge but also with the ability to identify risks, protect personal data, and proactively respond to cybersecurity crises.
Decoding Terminology & Rebuilding Lives After Fraud
Starting with the “Data Hunter” round, the competing teams had to take on the challenge of “simplifying” the technical term “Data Manipulation” for young children, while also reviewing important legal information before signing an employment contract. Thanks to their sharpness and accuracy, the UEF team took the lead with 15 points.
Moving on to the Big Bang round, the difficulty level increased as the program presented a real-life scenario involving a victim who had been lured abroad and forced to join a financial fraud ring. The challenge was not just “how to avoid being scammed,” but “what happens and how to rebuild one’s life after becoming a victim.”
Faced with this scenario, each team chose its own approach. UEF utilized the “Rebuilding Support” package, proposing a solution that combined psychological recovery, identity protection, job placement, and vocational skills support. Meanwhile, Can Tho University successfully bid for a 5-minute private conversation with a character before selecting “Building a Shield,” which focused on verifying victim status, expunging criminal records, and creating job opportunities at social enterprises.

The People’s Police University chose “Overcoming the Darkness,” aiming to provide vocational training, build a safe living and working environment, and enhance the ability to identify fraud schemes. A Special Approach: When the “Manipulation Vortex” incident emerged (where cybercriminals continued to use personal data for extortion), UEF successfully earned an additional 100 million Monee thanks to its superior crisis communication and data security response strategies.
The Dramatic “Black Hole” Round & UEF’s Convincing Victory
Entering the Black Hole Round, three outstanding contestants—Lương Hoàng Bửu Ngọc (UEF), Tieu Anh Kiet (Can Tho University), and Le Quang Dung (People’s Police University) had to race against the clock to crack the layers of security locks.

Although the time pressure prevented any team from cracking the final security code, UEF’s representative—Lương Hoàng Bửu Ngọc—demonstrated smart financial management skills by preserving 290 million Monee in the account, officially becoming the overall winner.
BIDV awarded the VND 200 million scholarship, empowering Gen Z to advance to the “” Semifinals
Wrapping up Episode 3, student Lương Hoàng Bửu Ngọc (UEF) not only officially secured her spot in the 2026 “Universe of Money” Semifinals but also brought home a prestigious scholarship worth VND 200 million for UEF, sponsored by strategic partner BIDV.

Through the real-world challenges of the “Vũ trụ Đồng tiền” competition, BIDV continues to reaffirm its strong commitment: to always be a pioneer in providing safe, highly secure digital banking solutions, while serving as a solid foundation supporting the younger generation on their journey to financial independence and building a better future.
