The BIDV Party Committee has been transferred to the direct control of the Party Committee of the State Bank of Vietnam.

On the morning of December 20th, at the headquarters of the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV), the SBV Party Committee held a conference to transfer and receive six Party committees of banks and financial institutions in accordance with Conclusion No. 208-KL/TW dated November 11, 2025, of the Politburo and the Secretariat on the restructuring of Party organizations in state-owned economic groups, corporations, and commercial banks. The BIDV Party Committee is one of the six Party organizations transferred from being directly under the Government Party Committee to being directly under the State Bank of Vietnam Party Committee.

Following the transfer to the Party Committee of the State Bank of Vietnam, the BIDV Party Committee comprises 94 subordinate party organizations with 4,689 party members at the Head Office/Centers, member units, and branches in Hanoi. The remaining 157 subordinate party organizations with 7,693 party members of the BIDV Party Committee system are transferred to the Party Committees at the commune/ward level where the branch's head office is located.

During its nearly 70 years of establishment and development, the BIDV Party Committee has been under the direct control of various Party organizations, including: the Party Committee of the Ministry of Finance (from 1957 to June 1981), the Party Committee of the Central Bank (from June 1981 to July 2007), the Party Committee of the Central Enterprise Bloc (from July 2007 to February 2025), the Party Committee of the Government (from February 2025 to December 2025), and the Party Committee of the State Bank of Vietnam (starting from December 2025).

The handover conference is a significant political event, marking a step towards consolidating the Party organization according to the vertical leadership model, in line with the specific characteristics of state management of monetary and banking affairs, and at the same time concretizing Conclusion No. 208-KL/TW dated November 11, 2025, of the Politburo and the Secretariat on the arrangement of Party organizations in state-owned economic groups, corporations, and commercial banks.

Under the guidance of the Government Party Committee and the direct leadership of the State Bank Party Committee, the transferred Party organizations will soon stabilize their structure, continue to promote the spirit of unity, discipline, and innovation; constantly improve the quality of Party building work; and affirm that they will continue to coordinate, cooperate, and share experiences in Party building work, contributing to consolidating and improving the quality of Party organizations throughout the banking sector.
