The patriotic emulation movement of the banking industry contributes to implementing national strategies on sustainable growth.
On November 24, 2025, in Hanoi, the Banking industry solemnly organized the 9th Banking Industry Patriotic Emulation Congress and the Women's Conference to summarize 5 years of implementing the Plan to implement the National Strategy on Gender Equality, for the Advancement of Women and the Movement "Good at Banking, Good at Housework" for the period 2021 - 2025.
The Congress was honored to welcome Comrade Pham Minh Chinh - Politburo member, Prime Minister of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and leaders of the Government, Committees, Ministries and Branches to attend and direct the Congress.
At the Congress, the delegates observed a moment of silence to share with the victims of the recent natural disasters and floods in the Central provinces. Promoting the spirit of mutual love and solidarity, towards the Central region, responding to the direction and mobilization of the Prime Minister, the entire banking sector contributed a total of 150 billion VND to support people affected by natural disasters.
Emulation and reward work has had many practical innovations.
Imbued with President Ho Chi Minh's patriotic emulation ideology, in the 2020-2025 period, all cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers in the banking sector always promote the tradition of solidarity, enthusiasm in emulation, creative work, aspiration for innovation, creativity and dedication to successfully carry out the tasks set forth by the Party and State.
Emulation and reward work has had many innovations, practicality, in accordance with regulations and in line with actual conditions, creating motivation and promoting the combined strength of all cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers in the banking sector to excellently complete assigned tasks. The forms of emulation are rich and diverse, with content linked to specific political tasks; Movements are launched widely, with focus and key points; Rewarding the right people, the right work, the right achievements, in a timely manner to create positive effects, spreading the patriotic emulation movement.
In his speech at the Congress, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh presented the Congress and the Banking Industry with 8 phrases:
Open institutions; Pioneering infrastructure; Flexible policies; Reasonable management; Effective solutions; Development banks; Beneficiaries for the people; Self-reliant country!”
The Prime Minister requested the banking sector to launch and implement emulation movements associated with the sector's political tasks, focus on digital transformation, scientific innovation, improve the quality of operations, take the lead in contributing to the national target program, and actively and effectively contribute to the cause of stabilizing and developing the country's sustainable socio-economy.
The achievements of the banking industry in the past 5 years have contributed to the socio-economic development of the country and have been highly appreciated by the Party, State, Government and people. In the period of 2020 - 2025, more than 64,000 collectives and individuals in the industry have been recognized by the Party, State, Government and Governor, and awarded many noble awards: Labor Hero Title, Independence Medal, Labor Medal of all ranks, National Emulation Fighter Title, Government Emulation Flag, State Bank Emulation Flag, along with tens of thousands of Certificates of Merit, Medals and other forms of awards.
Also at the Congress, the Governor of the State Bank launched an emulation movement in the entire industry for the period 2026 - 2030 with the theme " The banking industry competes to innovate, be creative, and pioneer with the country to enter an era of strong , civilized, and prosperous development ". The entire industry enters a new emulation period, united to strive to excellently and comprehensively complete all assigned tasks, develop a modern, safe, effective, and sustainable banking system, meeting the requirements of the country's innovation in the new era.
As the Bank with the longest tradition in the Vietnamese banking system, over the past 68 years, BIDV has always been a pioneer in emulation movements launched by the Government and the Banking Industry. The results of the efforts to implement emulation movements throughout the system, BIDV has been recognized by the Party, the State, the Government and the Banking Industry, and awarded many noble titles. Summarizing the emulation movement of the Banking Industry in the period of 2020 - 2025, BIDV was honored to receive forms of commendation and honor for the system and individuals and units with outstanding achievements.
