I have been a BIDV customer for over 20 years. That time has been long enough to witness many changes, from the bank’s operations to my own habits.

My two-decade journey with BIDV has taught me that refinement and a genuine commitment to service are the keys to sustainable growth.

In the early years, whenever I needed to handle anything related to money—from transfers, withdrawals, opening savings accounts, to getting a debit card—I had to go to the bank. Back then, there were no mobile apps, so every task, big or small, required a visit to the teller counter. But what I remember isn’t the inconvenience; it’s the very attentive and friendly service provided by BIDV staff.

I recall one time visiting the branch on Vo Van Tan Street; as soon as I parked my bike at the entrance, a security guard helped guide it for me. When I stepped out, I noticed a small tarp covering the seat to keep me cool. These were very small details, but they were enough to show that customers were truly valued. Inside, the tellers are always cheerful and friendly, patiently and meticulously guiding and explaining to customers how to fill out the bank’s forms correctly.

I started doing business at the Dân Chủ Branch back when I lived on Cách Mạng Tháng Tám Street. Later, I moved to Nguyen Đình Chiểu Street; the distance from my home to the branch is a bit farther now, but that has never made me consider switching to another bank. Every time I come here, I always feel very comfortable. The first impression is the friendly, cheerful, and courteous atmosphere. As soon as customers sit down, a bottle of cold mineral water is placed in front of them. A small but very thoughtful gesture on the sweltering days of Saigon.

In recent years, banking transactions have changed significantly. Whereas before everything had to be done at the counter, now most tasks can be handled right on the phone. The mobile banking app allows me to transfer money, pay bills, and manage my account very quickly. With just a few taps, I can make transfers 24/7, pay electricity and water bills… and even apply for an overdraft loan—the funds are deposited into my account with just a few clicks. At first, I was a bit overwhelmed by the technology, but thanks to the staff’s detailed guidance, I got the hang of it after just a few tries.

Even as technology continues to advance, for me, the most important thing remains the people. A bank may offer many modern products and services, but without a dedicated team of staff, it’s hard for customers to stay loyal in the long run.

At BIDV’s Dân Chủ Branch, I always feel a sense of professionalism combined with warmth. The staff always remember customers’ names, are ready to explain things thoroughly when customers don’t understand, and on birthdays and holidays, customers receive gifts—though small, they make customers feel valued and cared for. These seemingly small gestures make a huge difference.

Throughout my time transacting here, especially after the branch moved to Nguyen Dinh Chieu Street, I have deeply admired the Branch Management Team. With a small staff, they managed to “set up” a truly well-organized space in a short time—meticulously attending to every corner and detail to create a branch that is beautiful both inside and out.

Inside, there are dedicated staff members who are committed to serving customers. That includes Thao, the staff member who has directly cared for and supported my transactions, ensuring they were processed quickly and smoothly over the years. Her dedication, thoughtfulness, and enthusiasm have left a lasting positive impression on me. From meticulously preparing documents and providing thorough guidance to being willing to assist outside of regular hours when customers need urgent help. Her heartfelt actions are precisely why customers like me continue to trust and remain loyal to BIDV.

Perhaps customer satisfaction doesn’t always require grand gestures. It simply requires professionalism, dedication, and a touch of thoughtfulness in service. For me, BIDV—especially the Dân Chủ Branch at Nam Kỳ Khởi Nghĩa—has achieved exactly that. And I believe that when a bank upholds these values, customers will always be willing to stay loyal, just as I have been for over twenty years.
