A "Colorful" Tech Explosion in Round 1 of the 2026 Banking Digital Transformation Competition
On May 22, 2026, the 2026 Banking Industry Digital Transformation Competition, themed “Proactive Digitalization – Breaking Through to the Future,” officially kicked off amid great excitement from all union members and banking industry employees. Immediately following the opening ceremony, the first round, titled “Connecting Strengths,” transformed the stage into a vibrant tech-filled space featuring 32 competing teams.

The grand stage of the competition carries the mission of spreading the spirit of innovation and creativity, while enhancing digital awareness and skills for thousands of employees and workers in the banking industry.

In the first round—“Connecting Strengths”—the competing teams delivered unique performances that strongly reflected their respective banks’ brand identities. Many teams skillfully integrated visual digital technology to demonstrate core knowledge about digital banking, digital data, and digital customer experience, leaving the audience in a state of constant surprise.
The contestants demonstrated high concentration and excellent teamwork. Round 1 served as a foundational round to assess overall understanding and the ability to collaborate in solving issues related to the national digital transformation strategy, cybersecurity, and State Bank of Vietnam regulations.
The participation of 32 diverse teams—ranging from government agencies to commercial banks, public institutions, and fintech companies—brought multi-dimensional technological solutions by integrating AI and automation into their presentations. These organizations successfully established their unique brands and positions in the banking sector’s digital transformation journey.
